Authors As Rockstars’ Opening Acts
Yesterday Emma Straub announced that she would open for the Magnetic Fields this fall — as a reader. Yes, as an opening act Straub will read from her new novel. Considering singles are now ads for concerts that are ads for t-shirts, this model seems like a great way to sell books. These are the rock star/author pairings I’d like to see.
